The Pink Frog Foundation presents The Pink Frog Affair a night filled with music, poetry, dance and more to support Breast Cancer Warriors.
The Pink Frog Foundation Co-Founder Tammy Bolton and Vice Chair Person Eric Dunlap share with Alyssa DiTomasso in the Live & Local studio about their upcoming Event The Pink Frog Affair happening on Friday, October 6th at 7:30 p.m. located on the Morehouse College King's Chapel. The event celebrates Breast Cancer Survivors, honors loved ones who've lost their battle and continue to build community around Breast Cancer Warriors. The night is filled with music, poetry, dancing and Grammy Award Winning and Gospel Singer Yolanda Adams.

The Pink Frog Foundation was created by Tammy Bolton and her husband after she won her battle with breast cancer more than 25 years ago. The couple was truly in awe of the friends, family and community that stood by their side in such a difficult time, whether it was to help clean the house, cook a meal or even offer a ride to an appointment, the Boltons felt blessed to be surrounded by such a strong support system.
It was this support system that helped them realize they can provide this to other families fighting breast cancer. The Boltons created The Pink Frog Foundation as a way to say thank you to all the amazing people who helped them, by simply helping others. At the 10 year celebration of being cancer free Tammy's husband decided to celebrate by hosting a large gala and asking friends, family, other survivors in the network and more to donate and help find a cure.
Impressively the foundation continues to spread community and awareness through many services now. Vice Chair Person, Eric Dunlap shares that through a buddy system of communication survivors and warriors are partnered together to provide support through a listening ear and understanding. The Pink Frog Foundation also offers food, cleaning and transportation services to Breast Cancer Patients.
Eric also shares his story about early detection of breast cancer saving his life. While significantly lower than women, according to the CDC nearly 3,000 men get diagnosed with breast cancer yearly and more than 500 men will die each year from the disease. Eric says it's important to know your body, stay active, do at home exams and check up if something doesn't feel right.
