The 2022 BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta is featuring an incredible true story that was born right here in Georgia.
Veteran TV & film development executive and producer Nichelle Protho excitedly shares her directorial debut with close family friends that she never knew had such an incredible story to tell. Two of the executive producers were class members of a Catholic School in Augusta, Georgia in 1968. Nichelle shared she grew up around Joseph Floyd and Terrye Thompson her whole life and had no idea they were carrying around this incredible story.
The film aims to open the door for discussion and education for Critical Race Theory, a very polarizing topic in today's society. Nichelle notes that while the film is a story about integration, it's more personal than that because it's about the people. The film is narrated by Hill Harper and cowritten by Monice Mitchell Simms.
"Two Classes of 1968" will air at the BronzeLens Film Festival on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. in theater 3 at IPIC. IPIC is located 1197 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, 30361 in Colony Square. You still have time to get your tickets today.
