The Rashad Richey Morning Show: Massive Voter Machine Failures In Georgia Elections

Today, June 9th, is Primary Election Day for Georgia. With a record number of voters voting absentee, long lines were still expected due to Covid-19 safety mandates.

What people did not expect was massive voting machine failures across the state.

Callers called into The Rashad Richey Morning show while waiting in line and reported voting machine failures at their local precincts.

According to one caller, 500-600 voters were waiting outside of a precinct in Atlanta, GA due to the machines not working at all. Voter complaints came out of Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb and Douglas counties.

DeKalb County Commissioner, Mereda Davis Johnson told Richey that this is why she wanted a paper backup system, but the election board opted for provisional ballots instead. Georgia State Representative Donna McLeod said even Gwinnett county was experiencing voter machine failures. Follow Dr. Rashad Richey on CBS46 News as he brings election day updates. LISTEN TO CALLERS EXPLAIN THEIR VOTING DAY EXPERIENCES:
