Dr. Gilberte Bastien and Juandolyn Stokes talked about fear, loss and more during a global pandemic.

Dr. Bastien, our Sister Talk guest discussed mental health during turbulent times. She and Juandolyn discussed how the challenges highlighted by COVID-19 including fear, loss, pain, and suffering have gone from acute to chronic for many people.


She added that while these are normal challenges we faces routinely combined with COVID-19 exasperates the problems. Dr. Bastien suggested we find ways build strong-mindedness to help cope with challenges and not be afraid to seek help from outside sources.


On a lighter note, she suggested finding things to be grateful for and finding the lesson in experiences can help one cope.
