Atlanta City Council President Felicia Moore said she could not "bite" her tongue any longer amid what she saw as a lack of response from leadership in the city and state during the Coronavirus pandemic.
After being one of the first political leaders in Georgia to publicly call for a stay at home order, President Moore said, “People are not getting it and I wanted it to hit home with people.”
The City Council President believes it is past time for a full, statewide "shelter-in-place" policy.
Moore did give credit to Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms' 14-day Executive Order to residents and businesses by stating it was a good "first step".
Council President Moore still wants more to be done to combat the spread of Covid-19.
