After MARTA CEO, Jeffery Parker, made an appearance on The Rashad Richey Morning Show to discuss what the transit company is doing to protect workers and the public, many MARTA employees had a different story to tell.

Another MARTA bus operator has come forward with more information about bus overcrowding, decreased routes, unsanitary conditions and MARTA's lack of enforcement to protect employees and the general public.

The MARTA whistleblower calling herself "Shawn" said she requested protective gear last Friday and was denied. "Shawn" also said riders are not able to practice social distancing due to decreased bus service in working communities.

Due to MARTA temporarily suspending bus fare, many homeless citizens are riding MARTA for shelter. According to the Shelter-in-Place order, only essential workers and those performing essential tasks are suppose to be out in public spaces. "Shawn" said MARTA leadership is not enforcing the mandate.

The driver also shared a recent experience where a passenger harassed her, threw trash at her feet, poured a drink on her steering wheel and touched her personal face mask. According the the bus operator, MARTA police were called, but the matter went unresolved.

Many party promoters and religious leaders are being criminally charged for violating social distancing protocols and the prohibition of group gatherings. The MARTA bus operator said the MARTA CEO should be held criminally responsible for the continued spread of COVID-19.
