Infectious Disease Specialist, Medical Doctor Lane Rolling, Director of Clinical Education and Research for the Tropical Pathology Infectious Disease Association came on The Rashad Richey Morning Show to discuss the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and what people should expect in the future. Dr. Rolling, a highly respected researcher, clinician and lecturer, shared with Dr. Richey that there are now more than 30 new strains of Covid-19 based on genetic mapping.
Dr. Rolling stated that this virus has continued to mutate and anyone who contracts the virus may not be immune to the other strains. Dr. Rolling also cautioned against sole dependence on a soap and water handwashing remedy and suggested alcohol-based and antiviral solutions be used to sanitize the hands.
