This week on, OPWJS Law and Legal with CK Hoffler was all about the Derek Chauvin trial. This week the Chauvin trial wrapped up with closing arguments and highlighted the unpredictability of the jury and the irony of this case concluding as funeral arrangements are being finalized for Daunte Wright, also killed in Minnesota.

Hoffler spoke about how "on edge" we all are as we await the possible outcomes of this case. Hoffler says she believes the prosecution offered a compelling argument, but the defense failed to create that necessary reasonable doubt.

Both Juandolyn and CK agreed that their would be serious consequences if Chauvin was acquitted in this case. This case further highlights the need to pass the George Floyd Justice and Policing Act.
