Who is Fwey?
Fwey is a trending new Haitian duo hitting the music scene hard. It consists of two brothers, Zone and Elie Zoe, and their dream of changing the game forever. I got to sit down with them during the best time of the year (Thanksgiving) to truly see what they are all about.
Turkey Give Away:
Not many organizations can say they were able to provide Atlanta families with the heart of a Thanksgiving meal, but that's exactly what Fwey Did. During their first annual Turkey Give Away they were able to give a handful of Atlanta families with turkeys for Thanksgiving.
My take away from Fwey:
I was able to get close and personal with Elie Zoe and Zone and I was able to learn a lot about this incredible duo. The reason these two brothers pushed so hard to become successful is to teach other aspiring artists that there is a different narrative of success that needs to be told, and it's a narrative that is worth telling.
With a strong background in family and community, Fwey finds it very important that their music expresses such messages of grinding, staying on the right path, and family. They also revealed to me some of their favorite Thanksgiving traditions:
Time with family: Being around their whole family and hearing all of the loud conversations and laughter of the holidays
Turkey and Epis: Upon talking with Elie Zoe and Zone I found out some of their favorite Thanksgiving dishes and they are surprisingly familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. So you might be asking what is Epis and it's a Haitian seasoning that blends together peppers, onions and a few other seasoning to make for a really delicious sounding turkey.
Fwey The Movie: If the group were to have a movie made about their lives and journey to success they would want Oprah to play their mom.
