Embracing Grief to Empower Your New Year: Dr. Ajita Robinson's Revolutionary Approach to Achieving Goals and Healing
Dr. Ajita Robinson talks about how to kick off the new year right: by grieving. Now it’s not as melancholy as it sounds. The Good Doctor shares how acknowledging what happened in 2023 is natural and normal, so embrace it. It’s important to recognize past relationships, loss of loved ones, changes in jobs, even moving to a new home. It's important to recognize what that person, place or job gave to you.
In her book, The Gift of Grief, Dr. Ajita Robinson shares how going through the grief process is actually quite healthy and a great part of setting attainable goals for the new year. Many people struggle with taking that first step in attaining a goal, but Dr. Ajita says start small and not be intimidated by the bigger picture. Set small tasks and activities for yourself in order to start achieving your goals. She says it’s healthy to check in with a friend, a therapist or an accountability partner to gain progress towards your goals.
