Does Your Child Scribble?
Childcare Expert Ann Harris, CEO of Little Minds 1st Academy, came on The Rashad Richey Morning Show to discuss the importance of allowing a child to scribble.
Ann says that children use scribbling to express themselves, communicate complex thoughts and boost self-esteem and confidence. According to Ann, parents should not criticize their child's artwork, but rather encourage it and ask the child to explain it to them.
Ann also says it enhances the child's level of confidence when they see parents display the artwork in prominent places, like a refrigerator.
