Atlanta Councilman Antonio Brown has introduced a resolution to the full body of city council requesting the Atlanta Police Department to enhance their standard operation rules to include a "Duty to Intervene" requirement. According to Brown, officers should be held to a higher standard of accountability if they witness a citizen being violated by another officer and do nothing to intervene.

The resolution has broad support from members of council and the community. Brown says it's time to re-imagine public safety and change police culture.
